Lee
Lee Roy Selmon blends the advantages of a scholarship to football in his family with volunteering in the community. First family, he's the youngest of the nine children of Lucious and Jessie Selmon raised on a farm at Eufala, Oklahoma. Two soccer. He was one of three brothers who played for Oklahoma. All three of them were All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey was an All-Star for the whole 1973 season. Lee Roy was named the top offensive lineman in nation by the Outland and Lombardi Awards. Over the course of three seasons, Roy was a starter, Oklahoma won two National Championships. As an National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon was given a scholarship for the third time in 1975. Selmon received his bachelor's degree in education. Lee Roy dedicated ten volunteer hours per week during his time in college. In Tampa, he played for the Buccaneers for nine seasons before becoming an all-pro. Also, he began an entrepreneurial career. In 1988, as an account liaison officer for First Florida Bank of Tampa, he worked with Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. In 1982 the Junior Chamber of Commerce recognized Lee Roy as one of the 10 of America's most outstanding young men. When he was a student Lee Roy was 6-2 and weighs a little over 256 lbs. He captained his college team in 1975. Lee Roy joined the University of South Florida in 1993 as the Associate Director of Sports. He was named associate director of athletics by the College Football Hall of Fame recognized him on the 28th of October, 1998. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame In 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame, in 1995. In 1989, the Oklahoma City Chapter of the National Football Foundation in 1989 gave the Distinguished American Award to his parents Mr. and Mrs.. Lucious Selmon Sr. Henry Bellmon the Governor of Oklahoma was the person who presented the award.
